The Greenfinch is similar in size to the Great Tit with a distinctive forked tail
With it’s long bill and short tail, the Nuthatch climbs using it’s powerful toes
The Goldfinch is a highly coloured finch with a bright red face and yellow wing patch. Sociable, they have a delightful liquid twittering song and call

About the same size as a Blue Tit, the siskin is actually a small Finch
The chaffinch is the UK’s commonest finch, and it’s beauty often easily missed even though the male has more colourful plumage than many British birds
The robin is a gardener’s best friend and our “national” bird. Always nearby to swoop up a worm or inspect a log for beetles.
Wrens are busy birds, always restless!
